IMPORTANT: Karlsruhe is currently developing its underground transport network. This means that there are temporary changes to the tram and road networks, which we are not always able to update you about in advance. We advise you to plan more time for your journey and any potential diversions.

The tram stops almost right outside the hotel and can take you across the extensive network through Karlsruhe and around the entire region.

On foot

The following are within a short walk of the hotel:

• Pedestrian area: 0.1 km
• The Bundesgerichtshof (Federal Court of Justice): 0.7 km
• Marktplatz: 1 km
• Karlsruhe Palace: 1 km

By train

How to reach us from the station:

• Exit the main train station and take the tram
• Line 3 (towards Heide) and line 4 (towards Waldstadt) both start from right outside the entrance (to the left!)
• Exit at the Europaplatz Postgalerie stop
• Continue left on the Kaiserstraße (pedestrian area) towards the Sparkasse bank but turn right down Douglasstraße before you reach it
• After 100 metres, you will see the City Partner Hotel Berliner Hof on the right. Welcome!

By road

From Basel:

• Take the Karlsruhe Süd motorway exit (48)
• Head for the city centre (approx. 5 km)
• Cross four-lane Kriegsstraße, then turn right at the second set of lights
• At Kaiserplatz and its equestrian monument, bear left and follow the tram tracks
• Expect delays due to construction for the underground – prepare for a longer journey
• Turn into the Kaiserstraße, then take the first left (Hirschstraße)
• Take the next right (Akademiestraße)
• Take the next left (Douglasstraße) – you have arrived! You will find the City Partner Hotel Berliner Hof on your right.

From Saarbrücken:

• Take the B10 towards Karlsruhe
• Continue on the B10 towards the city centre until you reach the Kriegsstraße/Reinhold-Frank-Straße junction
• Turn right and follow the road to Kaiserplatz and its equestrian monument, then bear left and follow the tram tracks
• Expect delays due to construction for the underground – prepare for a longer journey
• Turn into the the Kaiserstraße, then take the first left (Hirschstraße)
• Take the next right (Akademiestraße)
• Take the next left (Douglasstraße)
• You will find the City Partner Hotel Berliner Hof on your right.

From Frankfurt/the North via the A5:

• Take the Karlsruhe-Durlach exit (44)
• Head for the city centre (B10, Kriegsstraße)
• Follow this road and turn right after the second underpass at Karlstor (caution: there is a speed camera here)
• Continue on Karlstraße until you reach the Kaiserstraße and cross the tram tracks
• After 50 metres, turn left onto Akademiestraße (before PrinzMaxPalais)
• Turn right onto Douglasstraße and you will find the City Partner Hotel Berliner Hof on your right.

From Stuttgart/the East via the A8:

• Take the Karlsruhe Mitte exit (45)
• Head towards the B10, the Wildparkstadion and Oststadt
• Take exit 44 and continue using our directions from the North
